living with anxiety and learning to let God provide

Part 1:
We just did our grocery shopping for the month. At checkout we found out just how much fuel saver/free gas we left on the table by shopping today instead of Saturday.
Corey's response: "eh, oh well"
My response: "I'll return the whole order, put everything back on the shelf, and come back Saturday to re-buy it" THAT is another glimpse into my over-analyzing, anxious brain. ðŸ˜³
Where on of the spectrum of the 2 of us do you fall?

Part 2: 2 days later...

I wanted to share with you something that has really changed my perspective from Thursday. I remember posting about grocery shopping and the huge anxiety that I got afterwords realizing that essentially we had left an entire tank of free Fuel Saver gas on the table in the Yukon. Gas is still relatively cheap compared to last year, but it still takes a lot of gas to fill up that big thing. So this anxiety was bothering me Thursday and eating at me Friday.
But then I went to balance our checkbook and I logged in to see what my Beachbody paycheck was for Thursday (the day that we have gone grocery shopping) and it was so amazing and reassuring to find out that last week I actually made enough money to fill up both of our cars from dead empty! It didn't have to come from Corey's paycheck at all; it came from mine! I was really reassured and thankful to God for this opportunity, and He’s showing me that the work that I'm putting in, and the number of people that I'm able to help with their health and fitness is blessing our family so much.
There's no need to have such anxiety about paying our bills, or looking out for those coupons or the fuel saver. Yeah, it would have been nice if we would have done that obviously, but what was more amazing is that my little side job gig that I do for coaching it's no paying for things like gas for both of our cars. We don't fill our cars up every week either, so it's a really big deal for me and I wanted to share that with you guys. I wanted to give you some perspective that you don't need to worry about things because if you're faithful in all areas of your life and if you take your worries to God instead of letting them fester in your head, God will provide for you. I'm so grateful that the coaching opportunity has been able to help my family out in such a meaningful way.
That's why I keep inviting my friends to join me every month; that's why I keep sending invitations: because I want this opportunity not just to change your health like it has mine, but to change your life like the business has changed my life. If you would like to hear more about the coaching opportunity and what it could do for your family in your spare time, the little pockets of your day, let me know because my team wants thought to have you join us!

being a mom boss: the ultimate flexibility to put my family first

"Thanks for taking me to VBS today, mom. At first I was nervous but then I really liked it. Thanks for always doing fun stuff with me."
❤️
What a great day. I think first it started out positive because of my planning and mindset and made a choice at each challenging moment to respond with love and grace. But it's also great because I got to spend time seeing my daughter's faith grow and spend time investing into almost 40 3-5 year olds today.
❤️
To think that with the flexibility of my coaching, I was able to do VBS in the morning and then work this afternoon in between playing in the pool and inside with Addie. A schedule based on my needs and those of my daughter and family.
❤️
Corey umped for a Jr High game this morning, prepped his field, and then had a game to coach. Addie is already asleep so she hasn't seen him since 7:30 this morning. 😟 Someday soon he will have his summers "off" for real and it will be because of my job as a Beachbody coach.

fitting my job into my life, not scheduling my life around my job

I hear from so many people that they have NO TIME to be a coach. I used to think so, too!! I've learned that you CAN create an income by using the little nuggets of your day.
I listened to personal development on my drive down to the baseball game. I drank my Shakeology instead of having candy and a hot dog at the game. And I've been checking in with my challengers in between customers at the concessions stand. Not a huge time commitment, just bits here and there!
If you've seen my posts and wondered even a little bit what coaching might be about, like or comment to this post. My team is hosting a free, no strings informational group this week to answer any/all questions you have about this coaching thing I do.

why we don't give our daughter Pedialyte when she is sick

Addie still has a decent appetite but with this fever still going we've been pushing fluids on her. I'm not comfortable with the ingredients in Pedialyte, so we chose an alternative usage for our during-workout drink.
Not only does it NOT have the icky stuff Pedialyte does have, but it also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant superfoods.
Why not give her little body an added boost? If it's good enough for us in our intense workouts, then it's more than enough for her fighting whatever this is off.

What's your love language?

How do you express love and caring to your spouse (or anyone for that matter)?
❤️
My husband has enough to worry about while he's gone for 12 hours a day teaching and coaching. The last thing I want to do is greet him with a "honey do" list as soon as he gets home. I do my absolute darnedest to accomplish things on my own during the day so that I don't bog him down when he's home for family time.
A less secure man would see my pulling these big (thicker than my arms, easily 20 feet long) broken branches to the street from our backyard as me taking his "manly responsibility" from him.
It's a good thing we both rank very high on "acts of service" as a love language, because he will see me doing this and know it comes across as a caring gesture.

strong is the new skinny

What is 1 body part you used to hate but now you have a better relationship with?

I used to be really insecure about my legs. I didn't like the term "thunder thighs" but instead I called them "soccer legs". I wished my jeans didn't get pilly and worn thin/through in my thighs. Now that I'm not only more fit but also more confident, I am much more secure in my legs. Who wants toothpicks for legs?! Heck no, I want a strong foundation for my body!! Doing programs like Hammer & Chisel and now P90X3 have given me the chance to really strengthen my legs. I love seeing muscle definition in pics like this. I never fit into the "skinny leg" jeans, but at least I don't have that awful thigh rub/chafing anymore. BAM!

Monday sweat therapy

Let me be honest with you: I AM STRUGGLING!

  • I have had graduation parties which means temptation getting the better of me...
  • busyness as an excuse and skipping my workouts...
  • Addie getting into a new schedule which threw me off of my schedule...
  • family things causing stress...
I feel pulled in 1 million different directions and didn't know what to do. Before my workout I was talking to a friend and I was holding back tears, so I just went downstairs and pushed play. I let my workout be my therapy and my stress relief.

It didn't give me any answers but what it did give me was a good sweat session, burn in my muscles, and cleared my brain. I know now that I can refocus and tackle one thing at a time. Workouts are my therapy; they are my drug; they help me get through the day and feel strong and clearheaded. I never leave a workout feeling worse than I did before I started.

What's your therapy? What's your drug? I can guarantee it does not work better than a workout because what other therapy or drug also changes your body for the better?

June 6 is the start date for my next group and I NEED YOUR HELP to stay focused and stay strong through the temptations and craziness that summer brings. Who wants to join? I'll support you and you'll support me and we will succeed together.

Country Line Dancing workout: Country Heat coming soon!!

$5 was just donated on my behalf to help fight the Canadian wildfires thanks to Beachbody. How?? All I did was log onto Beachbody on Demand to try a brand new workout from the upcoming program Country Heat.

If you think that face looks familiar, it is!! Autumn Calabrese created the 21 Day Fix and those revolutionary portion control containers, as well as Hammer & Chisel. Now she's back teaching country-inspired dances in a really easy to follow and fun format. I was sweating and had my heart rate up even though I still have 2 left feet. ðŸ’ƒ

If you'd like to try this workout for free today, comment below. Or if you'd like more information about the program before it releases in July, comment below as well!

Who else loves getting fun rewards?!

I have been blown away by the hard work of some of the ladies in my current 60 day accountability group. ðŸ’ª I know it's SO hard to stay committed to a new habit and lifestyle, especially for something as long as 60 days! I LOVE giving little prizes as a way to say THANKS for their hard work and to spur them on toward the finish.

🎉

Be watching your mailboxes, ladies!
